Eugene Ivanov is an artist and illustrator who has been based in Prague since 1998. Over several decades, he has developed a distinctive, recognizable artistic language in which reality meets boundless imagination, the ordinary becomes extraordinary, and every painting tells a multitude of stories.
Working primarily in oil and watercolor, Eugene Ivanov creates whimsical cityscapes and seascapes, expressive portraits, and the dreamlike poetry of everyday life. His work draws on contemporary surrealism and cubism, remaining largely figurative and rich in captivating details while occasionally venturing into abstraction.
Beyond creating wall art, Ivanov has illustrated more than 200 books and album covers. His artworks have been presented at numerous exhibitions across Europe, including the United Kingdom, Ireland and the Czech Republic, and have found their way into private collections quite literally all around the world.
